Jürgen Schaubhut contracted That Web Place to update his web site recently. Mr Schaubhut owns and operates a historic building materials business in Crailsheim, Germany.

Jürgen Schaubhut Historische Baustoffe specialises in the acquisition and supply of Europe's finest historic building materials. Mr Schaubhut has thousands of stock items dating back as far as the 1600's.

The most important thing on Mr Schaubhut's wish list was the need to update his own product information and the ability to manage his own website data and menu structure.

Images would play a large part in the presentation, as seeing is believing with rare products such as this. That Web Place proposed a databased solution with an advanced site administration interface. Mr Schaubhut can now access his personal administration system from any computer in the world that is connected to the Internet.

Once logged in, Mr Schaubhut is able to add, edit and delete product categories and sub categories as well as their related images and text. He can add, edit and delete products, associate those products to appear in any number of product categories and upload multiple different images so that his site visitors are able to clearly see the products.

That Web Place was careful to hide the complexities of Mr Schaubhut's requirements behind a simple to use, secure management interface. A 15 minute phone conversation was all that was required for Mr Schaubhut to learn the entire process that would allow him to take control of his new web site. Even the uploading of pictures was simplified, Mr Schaubhut simply browses for the new image on his own computer, enters his own "alt" text and clicks on the upload button.

Behind the scenes, that image is received by our servers and stored as a full size image, then it is reproduced and resized to create a second medium sized image then again it is reproduced and resized to create a small thumbnail image, the database is then updated to record the new image and it's custom "alt" text.

This is just one example of many complex tasks that can and are being performed quite simply by Mr Schaubhut no matter where he might be.

Mr Schaubhut's own words best describe his level of satisfaction with his new web site...

"At night, I have dreamed of such a web site, people I have shown are very impressed also and wish they could do such things with their own web sites. I have a web site now that I can do everything I need by myself and still, it is so easy and simple to understand. I am very happy with it...... thank you so much"
